Untuk mencari fungsi komposisi (fog)(x), kita perlu mensubstitusikan fungsi g(x) ke dalam f(x).

Diketahui:
f(x) = x^2 - 4x + 22
g(x) = 3x + 5

(fog)(x) = f(g(x))
= f(3x + 5)
= (3x + 5)^2 - 4(3x + 5) + 22
= (9x^2 + 30x + 25) - (12x + 20) + 22
= 9x^2 + 30x + 25 - 12x - 20 + 22
= 9x^2 + (30x - 12x) + (25 - 20 + 22)
= 9x^2 + 18x + 27
